TV Repeats: Important or Annoying?

A lot of people slam repeats of TV programmes as a pointless waste of air time and a surefire decline of the quality of television.

I personally see TV repeats as absolutely fantastic, I rarely get to see a tv show on its first airing, usually on it's second or third repeat if I'm lucky.

There are loads of programmes on TV that I want to see, the problem is they are either on when I am out or at the same time as other shows, I have a VCR (but they are crap) and can't afford a PVR yet so my only chance (other than downloading them) is to catch a repeat.

I have missed so many great shows because they clash with my life or another programme and until we have true video on demand where you download a programme at any time and watch it when you like I am stuck with repeats.

My vote is for more repeats.
