Sounds of a new band

I've been on a hunt to find an original band that is doing something noone else has tried, unfortunatly that is impossible, everything in music is a rehash of something else and the further we get from the 'Rock and Roll Fault Line' of the 1950's the further we get from finding something original.

However, not being able to find something truely original doesn't mean we can't find something good, great bands of the moment include Razorlight, Franz Ferdinand, The Subways and The Bravery.

In fact I could fill pages of band names that I'm into at the moment, all doing something old (usually from the 80s) but giving it a modern vibe, and that is the 'new' element we have to look for.

A band that is fairly easy to listen to, slightly predictable but familiar with an Oasis meets Coldplay sound are Daybreak, currently unsigned but worth a listen with a well produced demo and a passionate band that gel well together musically.
