Our Podcast

Podcasts are a strange beast, I’ve tried and failed to launch a few over the last year or so.

These have included looks at the world of geek culture that was little more than a reading of the Up Your Ego Blog - which to be honest you could do better yourself.

The other main one was the Jaffa Cake podcast, a weekly look at the world of Jaffa Cakes.

Unfortunately that particular subject was a little too narrow for any meaningful discussion over any serious period of time.

Above all that though, the main reason my podcasts seem to always fail is a lack of vocal variety - basically I, and I’m sure anyone brave enough to listen, get bored of my voice all the time.

Which is why I’m launching another podcast, yes ok so it does just feature my voice but will be better produced, shorter and will also feature a range of interviews and music.

The first podcast launched as part of the freedommedia network will be Up Your Ego - Geek - Culture & Lifestyle.

Up Your Ego will be a weekly look at the world of Geek Culture.

This will include everything from gadget reviews and tech talk to the best of the alternative music scene and blogger theory.

Expect interviews with industry experts, bands and people who are into something in the general Geek field.

The Up Your Ego podcast launches on Monday 18 September so subscribe to the RSS feed, sit back and wait for the poddy goodness to start rolling in.
