SeeSaw gets premium comedy shows
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of SeeSaw. All opinions are 100% mine. I would not take a sponsorship opportunity unless I genuinely believe in the product and have written about it before without sponsorship.
Where can you find South Park, Only Fools and Horses, The IT Crowd, The Thick of It, Summer Heights High, Man To Man, Lab Rats and many more great comedies all in one place?
In the Comedy Section on SeeSaw of course.
There are hundreds of programmes available to watch for free on the on demand TV platform that was born out of the ashes of the BBC Trust rejected Project Kangaroo.
The series has grown rapidly since I first wrote about it earlier this year and now has content from BBC, Channel 4, five and independent TV and movie studios.
And the most recent addition is premium content that wouldn’t be available, or cost effective for the platform as an ad-funded show.
Premium shows tend to be high profile or older shows – Only Fools and Horses episodes are 99p, South Park is £1.19.
They’ve also implemented social media options so you can share watching with Facebook and Twitter. It would be nice if this could integrate with the BBC iD iPlayer page.
It’s interesting to note that Channel 4 has more free shows on there, or at least more obviously free shows than other providers. Which is interesting because Channel 4 was one of the first UK media companies to sell shows through their 4OD download application.
The video quality is more than enough for web watching, it isn’t up there with BBC iPlayer high quality but is as good as any other UK media company and it has the nice ‘turn lights down’ option – which always makes me happy.
