Top Gear 100

If you’ve read my blog anything near occasionally you may well have noticed a fascination I have with Top Gear, ok obsession (my wife insisted I put that). Well in November Top Gear (the new format) will reach 100.

The hundredth episode, not including Polar and Winter Olympic specials will happen towards the end of series 12 - sometime early November. Should something special happen?

Being the sad git I am - I’ve been trying to put together my own TG episode guide (upyourego.com/topgear) and in the process noticed (and yes I’m sure everyone else has already noticed this ahead of me) that the next series is going to see the hundredth episode of the new format Top Gear.

Assuming TG:12 starts in mid October and the series doesn’t have to stop mid-way for some sporting bollocks - episode 100 should be on TV around the second week of November.

So what do you think they should do for episode 100? Something special? A big party? A stunt involving 100 caravans being set on fire one after another? Or maybe just not mention it at all and treat it like any other episode?

Oh and I’ve drawn them a cake - I say drawn but what I really mean is a bit of light scribbling in Photoshop without spending more time than I could be bothered with.

On the thread I started about this over at FinalGear Mineworksfine suggested “I reckon Wilman will read this, realise the 100th episode is coming up, and when we see it there will be a really flippant sarcastic comment from Clarkson and then they’ll just get on and do a normal show.”

Which to be honest would be the most Top Gear response by a very long way - it’s either that, ignore it completely or do something MASSIVE.
