From five to new

I’ve been blogging over five years now in one form or another and in that time I’ve gone from writing one blog to several blogs to a tumblog to twitter and back to this blog. Now I’ve decided to give Vlogging a go.

I’ve had a couple of audio podcasts before - one with interviews I’d done during my work as a journalist for BBC Jersey (I forgot to keep it up to date and then forgot about it completely) and another about Jaffa Cakes (I ran out of things to say - it needed another person).

Now I’ve decided to give vlogging a go and with the help of blip.tv I’m going for it big time. So far I’ve produced two videos and a trailer.

Now I’m producing my own videos. My first effort was me in front of a crap quality webcam spouting bollocks - it was a trial to get it up and runnning.

The second however was a fully produced three minute rant, outdoors with a decent camera on my backpack - yes the camera was sitting on the backpack but it was also about my backpack as well.

My next installment will be on reading, audiobooks and managing my digital life and should be released somewhere around the middle of next week - I have a few interviews to do first (hopefully! Otherwise it will be me spouting bollocks).

Also - if anyone wants to talk biscuits for 20 minutes a week - give me a shout and we’ll look at re-launching the Jaffa Cake podcast.

If this works and I manage to keep it up I have other video show ideas as well including one called ‘How to be a geek’ but lets start simple first huh!
