Scoring the Game

There is a big new film festival in Jersey this year – in September – and one of the events will be a silent cartoon playing at the Opera House but with a live score from the Kings Chamber Orchestra.

As I was talking to my musically gifted boss just now about computer game music and how a number of the next generation of great composers will get their commissions in that way I thought it worth bringing this to you.

It’s been a while since my last video post and I think this is a good one – it’s basically a number of classic video games being played on a big screen with a live orchestral score. I love Pong!
