Playing in the snow + Torchwood
April 7, 2008
You may have noticed a complete lack of posts over the last few days - well that’s because I’m on holiday visiting my parents in England.
Now this wouldn’t normally stop me, after all I’ve got pretty good at blogging regularly over the last couple of months.
No the reason is that I’ve enjoy the rest so much I couldn’t actually be bothered to do the research to come up with a half decent post.
Apart from the nightmarish daytimes with my pain in the arse children and the endless shopping with my wife - it’s been great.
Every evening when the kids have gone to bed I’ve either sat there playing Mario Olympics on my Nintendo DS, reading Torchwood: Something in the Water, listening to my iPod or just relaxing in front of the TV watching … something.
Speaking of TV and Torchwood - I loved the final episode of series two - it’s a really brave show that can kill of a couple of its lead characters and get away with it.
Lets hope Torchwood gets away with it but we’ll have to wait until next year to find out. I think they were the most expendable characters as they can now look for a new Science/Tech officer and a new medical officer - the two with the most clearly defined roles.
Spooks is the only other show that instantly jumps to mind as one that has killed key characters while they’re still at their peak.
Oh and Doctor Who - I love Donna, it’s so great to have a companion that doesn’t want to get into the Doctors undercrackers every five minutes.
Anyway - more when I get back to work by Thursday.
