Me on Sky News

As you’ve probably noticed Jersey is at the centre of one of the biggest stories in Britain at the moment, or at least it was until the media machine moved away last week.

Well today the media machine rolled back in as there was a rally/protest/vigil held in the Royal Square in St Helier. This saw Sky and BBC News 24 bring Sat Trucks over and a number of camera men to film the event.

Several hundred people turned up, some wearing daffodils as requested by the organisers, some there to remember the victims and many more there to make a political statement.

I was there to photograph it for the BBC Jersey website - you can see the photos here - and because I was interested to see which direction the event was going to take.

Anyway - when I eventually got home I was told by my mother in law that she saw me on the news - walking around in the background taking photos.

I’m sure I was also on BBC News 24 as well and will feature in photographs of the event and other video reports as a spent a considerable amount of time walking around and remember walking in front of a number of cameras with aerials attached - not on purpose mind

I have a number of photos I’ve taken of the journalists, sat trucks and photographers on the edge of the event and will post those to my flickr feed later today or tommorow.
