Under the fold

I’ve got a few advert links on my blog - there’s good old fashioned Google adsense, there’s ShoppingAds from Text-Link-Ads and there are Google referers.

I’ve also got Book suggestions on most posts that is linked to Amazon via my affiliate ID, am working on getting Text-Link-Ads into the body of the post AND I’ve got Adsense and Google Search on my blog posts.

But what I’ve tried to do (as Adsense looks messy) is keep all adverts under the fold on the homepage - hopefully this keeps it looking tidy and stops the adverts being to intrucive.

I make VERY little money from adverts, not even enough to cover the cost of hosting the blog - but I don’t blog to make money, I blog because I love spouting my opinions all over the internet but it would be nice to cover costs

I know I could make a lot more if I moved them further up the page but I don’t think the asthetic sacrifice is worth it.

What are your thoughts on asthetics over income?
