Not for Children
February 13, 2008 by upyourego
My daughter has flu - so, as you do with ill children, I gave her medicine and the medicine of choice for children in our house is Medised - but I was surpised to read the packaging.
It basically includes the instruction:
May cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery and avoid alcoholic drink.
Now, if I’m not mistaken the main users of Medised are aged between 3 months and 8 years.
I can’t say I’ve seen many 3 year olds driving, operating machinery or drinking alcohol - but then I might be wrong - there might be a load of butch 5 year olds working on the Docks with a drink in their hand.

I’m sorry to hear your daughter has come down with the flu! As a reminder to your readers, vaccination is the single best way to protect yourself and people you love from influenza. If you come down with the flu, there are still things you can do such as taking antiviral drugs if your doctor says you need them. To protect others from the flu, take preventive actions including frequent hand washing and covering coughs and sneezes.
