New look

As promised before my new baby was born - I’m working on a new look for Up Your Ego that will hopefully see me be able to dedicate more time and energy to the site.

I’ve now closed all my other sites and am going to concentrate on this one only - I’m going to write about new media, television and other geek related ideas.

I was originally planning to build a new wordpress template from scratch with the goal of using to brush up on some rusty PHP skills - but I don’t have time for that.

Also I’ve found a fab template that I can use as a base in the form of the Revolution Magazine template by Brian Gardner. It’s a brilliant template that allows heavy duty customisation of the homepage and customised sidebars for feature pages.

Now I’m going to work on integrating my vision (or an altered version of it) into the Revolution theme.

So bare with me while I work on this and in the meantime I have a few blog posts in the background ready to go. Something about putting BBC content here, the launch of embedded video on BBC News, the importance of Wikipedia and others.
