Gadget mad brits

December 3, 2007 by upyourego

Interesting post on Gizmodo today about use Brits having billions of pounds worth of gadgets in our homes - well I say interesting, what I mean is bloody obvious.

The article basically says that British gadgets are worth a total of £74 billion. It sounds like a massive amount of money but once you work out that there are about 35 million homes in the UK and each has at least a TV then you can see where the amount comes from.

In my house we have three televisions, three DVD players and one DVD recorder, a Sky+ box and two normal Sky boxes, about four mobile phones, half a dozen digital cameras, a couple of PDAs, a few iPods and all the bits that go with them, four stereos, a couple of alarm clocks and four computers - and thats just the big stuff.

My home insurance isn’t cheap.
