More Apple

I’m not an Apple fanboy honest
I use a Mac and Windows at work and at home (although I do prefer OSX).
The reason I’m posting again is the most recent MacBreak Weekly brought back a great memory for me from my childhood.
At the end of the show Leo et al were talking about a prize they have to give away of an old Mac featuring the words Apple Computers Inc (now just Apple Inc).
The panel were going on about how younger members of the group and audience probably didn’t remember the logo or the old computers except for in history books.
I’m 25 and I remember it well. In fact my first computer was a Mac Classic II. This wasn’t because we had a lot of money to buy a Mac in the 80s but because my mum worked in sales for Apple UK.
I’ve heard many stories of the various things they used to get up to at Apple and tales of trips around Europe for conferences and meetings. It was a lifestyle thing more than just a job (a bit like I feel about working for the BBC now).
The Apple logo was a prominent feature in my house in my preteen days and I remember spending a day when I was about ten making a case with my dad and younger brother for my mums birthday.
The cake was in the shape of the original Apple logo complete with multi coloured icing and bite out of it. Tasted horrible but looked great.
