‘normal service’

I’m going to kick this post off with an apology. Basically I’m going to steal the one used by a local department store here in Jersey while they’re re-designing their window display.

Basically I’m in the process of trying out a few different themes in the hope of finding and tweaking one that does exactly what I want it to do. My current one, as nice as it actually is, doesn’t live up to what I need.

I’m basically looking for a theme that will have one main post at the top and then a series of headlines and summaries underneath.

But it needs to have an attractive right hand nav. Every theme I’ve ever used has needed some form of tweak to its main navigation menu.

I tried using another one of my blogs I’m currently working on developing but haven’t launched yet to test the themes, but I need a bulk of content and only Up Your Ego and 5tracks can give me that.

I can’t use 5tracks as that is the first site I’ve ever built that looks exactly the way I want it, I have no desire to change anything and THAT is a miracle.

So it means I’m going to be changing things around here for a bit. I’m hoping I can settle on a design pretty quickly but I need to post at least one new entry under each design before I decide if I actually like it, and then when I do settle on a design I’ll probably spend a day or two tweaking things.
