Yummy Apples

September 12, 2006 by upyourego

I’ll give you my full opinion on the new range of Apple products and services at some point in the next day or two when I’ve 1) had time to let it all sink in and 2) am not so tired my head is flopping backwards.

For now though a quick look at what was easily the biggest highlight of them all for me the search function on the iPods. Of everything announced thats the one that is obviously the most instantly useful.

That and the pretty iPod nanos that look like a mini version of the … well … mini. Oh and the movie download store, iTunes 7, the tiny shuffle (looks just like the iPod radio player add-on).

OK so the movie store only has movies from Disney owned companies (we all know who’s a big man at Disney), but to be honest I bet that will change eventually.

I’m in the process of installing iTunes seven as I type - I’m borrowing a pretty slow machine from work as mine died a horrible, painful death so it’s taking a while.

While I’m on the subject of iTunes, iPods and Apple - I left for work this morning and realised I’d left my iPod on my desk at home - I had to go a whole day without my iPod - it was bloody horrible.

It was the most surreal, painful experience I’ve ever had, I’ve had to spend the day finding other ways to fill the giant gaping sound hole the iPod normally fills.

I’ve already put it in my bag to make sure I don’t forget it tommorow.
