An advert nearly worked on me

I’m not a big fan of adverts, in fact I don’t really see them that often as the little TV I do watch is usually on the BBC and not one of the commercial channels.
When I do have to watch TV on a commercial network I tend to prefer to just record it and watch it back with the adverts going by in about a second or two.
However, I do often see the trails between the end of the advert and the start of the show - these are often REALLY REALLY boring.
Recently Channel 4 ran a campaign for more4 that saw a number of pretty big film stars dressed in red promoting the fact that “film4 is now free”, which seemed a bit excessive to me as people would tune into a top film channel if it was free - promotion or not.
What really got me though, and nearly made me sign up for the service (I say nearly because I don’t have the time or money to appreciate it properly) was the new trails running on Sky One for Sky Movies.
Basically it opens with a scene similar to the film4 one with a red lobster and a tomato holding a sign, but as it closes in you start to see that they are just very small toys propped up on a wall.
The voice over then says something like - we don’t need big stars to promote our film channel, we spent the money on the films instead.
Loved it, very clever, very simple.
